Section AIA Seminar

Sunday, February 5, 2012 at 10:00 AM (EST)
Have you thought about becoming a member of the dance team, or wanted to get involved with ceremonies, but have thought that you don’t know enough to do so and would look like a fool? Maybe you’re a seasoned arrowmen in one or both of these categories, or you just want to get your feet wet, this event will give you a greater understanding of the cultural aspect that the Order of the Arrow dwells upon. Well, the Section American Indian Activities (AIA) Seminar is the thing to do. It will jumpstart your knowledge of both Dance and Ceremonies, and so, as Miley would put it, “You get the best of both worlds”. We will be offering courses on all sorts of beadwork, and our trainers will have the materials to allow you to leave the seminar with some of your own beadwork! There will also be courses on Drumming styles, Dance Styles, and outfitting. Additionally, there will be a Ceremony Forum, and if the participants want to take it into the hallway after the time has ended, that’s perfectly fine.
