NOAC 2018

As the countdown to the 2018 NOAC at Indiana University begins, you may be asking yourself why should I go? Well, here are four reasons why you should attend:

  1. Meet Arrowmen from around the nation and make new friends.
  2. Learn about the latest in the Order, leadership, high adventure and more!
  3. Watch the best shows in Scouting!
  4. Experience what is new to you.

Although it seems far away, we are already in the early planning stages to attend the National Order of the Arrow Conference in 2018. In 2018, Arrowmen from around the country will have the unique opportunity to gather together at Indiana University to celebrate the Order of the Arrow at the 2018 National Order of the Arrow Conference (NOAC). Thousands of Arrowmen are expected to attend the 2018 conference seeking the best that the Order has to offer. Each time a national conference is held, Arrowmen come together from around the world to share ideas, learn from one another, and most importantly experience an outstanding conference that is unlike any other event in Scouting. NOAC is open only to members of the OA. Offered at NOAC are premier trainings, fellowship with other Lodge members, opportunities to meet fellow Arrowmen from accross the country, exhilarating activities, inspiring shows, and so much more! The conference only happens every three years, so you do not want to miss it! Directions on how to indicate interest will be posted closer to the event.

Mawat Woakus Lodge sent 70 Arrowmen in our contingent to the most recent NOAC in 2015. This was a huge accomplishment for us, and we hope to have similar interest in 2018! However, the preparation for our Lodge to get to NOAC and gain the most from the experience is extensive. Therefore, there is a position on the Lodge Executive Committee as the NOAC Chairman. In this position, one Arrowmen, with the advice of an adviser, will oversee the operations and planning of NOAC for our contingent. This position is currently filled by Andrew Borkosky. He will be a youth at NOAC 2018, and is willing to play this pivotal role in the Lodge. The current cost is $625, with a chance of going down.
